For WolfTech Location to read an employee's calendar, you need to give free/busy access to the following Google service account:
To do so, open Google Calendar in your browser, and head to Settings. Head to the Settings for my calendar section and select your primary calendar (should be the first listed and the one that's your name).
Select it and then Share with specific people or groups, and add the group above, giving it See only free/busy rights.
Next, you'll want to setup your default work hours / locations - click on General at the top of the page, then find the section Working hours & Location. You may already have this in use - if so, review for accuracy. If not, click the checkbox to enable, then set your working hours, days, and default working locations.
After the above steps have been completed, email ecehelp@ncsu.edu and request to be added to the users displayed if you're not already listed. Be sure to confirm which employee group you should be displayed under.
Once added, the application will update your information every day at 4AM, 9AM, and 6PM. Only changes you've made to the current week and a month following will be reflected. You can also update your schedule on-demand by clicking the Refresh icon next to your name. Manual refreshing is limited to once per minute. Historical information outside of the current week will not be updated.
When making a change to your usual onsite/offsite days, you can click the Change button for a given day or week. Be mindful to only perform the change for the date or dates you want to do the change on - it may default to a longer date range than you intended.
If you need to make a non-standard or emergency change to your work schedule, you can instead use an Out-of-Office event.
When you have a non-standard change to your default working hours, you can create an Out of Office event for the entire day or for a period of time within the day. Make sure that these Out of Office events are Public so the application will see them.
Note: We are not providing any specifics about your Out of Office events to preserve your privacy - merely that you're not available. However, as you need to make it public, anyone who goes directly to your calendar will see it, so we advise not being too specific.
